Plachuttas Grünspan, a tavern owned by the Plachutta family in Vienna's traditional beer district, features a splendid beer garden and offers excellent, traditional Austrian pub cuisine. Plachutta classics also regularly appear on the menu.

 

We are open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

January:
Steak & Rib Weeks

Kick off the New Year with our classic Grünspan spareribs and juicy steaks from pasture-raised ox at Grünspan.

Herring Feast

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Enjoy herring variations and other delicacies from river and sea.

April.May: 
Asparagus season

In spring, we serve fresh asparagus: harvested daily, it is prepared according to tried-and-true Plachutta recipes.

April-September: 
Garden Season

Every year, our guests look forward to the opening of Vienna’s most beautiful beer garden.

June - September:
Mushroom Season

Enjoy delicious mushroom dishes in all varieties – in soups, as goulash, mushrooms à la crème andy many more creations

goose season

Starting on the 22nd of October, it’s that time of year again: Goose season at Grünspan. Enjoy our crispy, juicy St Martin's Goose with cabbage, pretzel dumplings and stuffed baked apple, alongside many more specialties featuring the St. Martin's Goose.

Christmas Time

Your Christmas celebration with us – by the crackling fireplace, we serve you and your guests our Austrian specialties, with space for up to 250 people
