Accessability Statement

Contents of this page:

We, Plachutta, are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all related services. This statement provides information about our efforts to comply with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) in implementation of EU Directive 2019/882. Here you can find out which parts of our website are already accessible, which are not yet accessible, and how you can contact us if you encounter any problems.”

01. Status of compliance with requirements

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Accessibility Guidelines in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are continuously working to identify and remove existing barriers.

02. Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations:

  • The contrast between text and background does not always meet the required standards.
  • The font sizes do not always meet the required standards.
  • The drop-down menu for filtering menus is not fully accessible.
  • WP Grid Builder is used on the website to display overviews (grids and some sliders). Despite the manufacturer’s claims to the contrary, this technology is not completely accessible; although it can be operated without barriers, in some cases assistive technologies such as screen readers reproduce irrelevant information.

b) Disproportionate burden:

The subsequent barrier-free processing of extensive historical video archives would require a disproportionate amount of personnel and financial resources (Section 15 BaFG).

c) Exceptions to the scope of application:

  • Content published before 28 June 2025 is not subject to the requirements of the BaFG.
  • Third-party content over which we have no editorial influence.
Videos in YouTube:

Videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions or a textual alternative (WCAG success criteria 1.2.3 (audio description) and 1.2.5 (media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available to deaf users. We believe that remedying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

Videos generally:

Some recorded videos and audio files lack the required audio description or textual alternative (WCAG success criteria 1.2.3 (audio description) and 1.2.5 (media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available to deaf users. We believe that remedying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions:

  • Live streaming time-based media
  • Online maps and map services
  • Internal areas and external tools
  • External content such as social media feeds
